A Mime by any other name...
Bridget received mixed reactions from our choice of Halloween costume. I'm pretty sure I was the most amused by it. People were either equally amused, or horrified.
She doesn't say much (except for the occassional growl) so she was an excellent Mime. Yes I am a professional Makeup Artist. But even after I strapped her into her carseat, it was a tough job. Its possible some of the people giving me confused/concerned looks thought I dressed my baby girl up as Heath Ledger's most recent Joker from Batman, as the face painting ended up a bit on the messy side.

Giving Thanks
I will be honest, I never really knew where Thanksgiving came from. Yes, yes I knew about the pilgrims being thankful and sitting down with the "Natives" learning about popcorn etc. But did you know that President Lincoln declared it a day to give thanks to God? I did not. Check out this link to read his proclamation. Now that is one articulate man.
We celebrated this great holiday at church on Wednesday night at the Annual Thanksgiving Banner Service (and pie social :-). We made our first family banner, paraded it around the sanctuary with the other families and Jaxon made a surprise debut on stage with Grandpa. Then on Thursday we drove to Grants to be with Jason's Family, relax and enjoy some great cooking!

(Only 6 feet and over here. Except Jax, but we have high hopes for him)

Jason's sister Judy was in town from Oklahoma. This was the first time she met Jaxon and they got along just fine! In fact, I think she'd make a great nanny...
