Lenya Avery

I tend to go on a lot about Alivia, because she is the first born of my brother, and everything she does is amazing and cute. But not to be forgotten or outdone, is her younger sister Lenya. She is only 3 months older than Jaxon, but because she was blessed with a full head of hair right from the womb, she looks considerably older and more wise. With her spikey hair, big dark eyes and little doll face, she reminds me of a cute little Anime character of sorts.
So let hear it for Lenya!

My Crazy Brother

My brother was in a snowmobiling accident this weekend in Montana. Pastor Greg Laurie was in town teaching at Levi's church. They had 2 packed midweek services and Phil Wickham was there to lead worship. Anyhow, the following day Levi went snowmobiling with Greg and had an accident. He broke his femur in half and had to have surgery. He now has a titanium rod in his thigh held in place at his hip with one screw and at his knee with two more. He is just 100 more bones away from being just like Wolverine. (yes, that was an X-Men reference from my husband) Thank God he is alright. He is still in pain, but the doctor said he will be up and walking on crutches in a day. Meanwhile, my dad flew up to be with him.
Keep Levi in your prayers.

Such Controversy...

Since my last post created such a stir, I thought I would make things right. My sister Heidi is a beautiful little girl, who has been fortunate enough to not go through any "ugly duckling" phases that I suffered through. Thats why that picture was so funny. Such a hideous face from such a cute girl!

Revenge is sweet...

Because my sister posted pictures of me first thing in the morning, she left me no choice but to retaliate. This is the side of Heidi, nobody sees but me...

Cirque Du Chocolate- A Chocolate Fantasy

As mentioned before, one of my favorite things in life is desert. So needless to say when the Chocolate Fantasy Ball rolls around, I'm pretty much in heaven. Yesterday was Keira's "23rd" birthday, so she came with us!
Jason teases me but I consider this to pretty much be the equivalent to the prom. Keira and I had so much fun getting all dolled up. We got some use out of some of our old formals. (not from high school mind you) Shelton Jewelers was even kind enough to let me borrow a necklace and bracelet, Oscar style!

The main focus of the event is obviously chocolate, but there is a lot of other things going on. Dinner, dancing, silent auction, performers etc. All the big restaurants in town always enter pieces in the competition in the style of the theme. (This year was Cirque du Soliel, years past have been Alice in Wonderland, Renaissance, Underwater, Stone Age etc.) As you walk around and view the creations, getting to vote, you are offered pieces of each of the entries that play on the theme. When your finished there, you can move onto the chocolate dipping station with the white and milk chocolate fountains, or the final desert station with various truffles and chocolate or caramel covered apples. For entertainment, there were acrobats, jugglers, and stilt walkers.
We had so much fun!!!

And for all of you Jaxon fans, he had a great night too, hanging out with Aunt Heidi!

A Day at the Park

I often gather with my friends for sword fighting and other such merriment.
