Goodbye...
I'm saying goodbye to my Assistant Manager, as she goes off to run her own counter. She will be missed and irreplacable. To celebrate we went out and had a wild calorie packed lunch with desert. Bon Voyage!

Water Baby

We have been taking Jaxon to the pool at least twice a week. At first he wasn't sure what to think about it, but now he gets excited anytime he sees any water by kicking his legs and panting like a dog. I don't have any good pictures of Jax in the pool, because I'm usually there with him. But he also has a strong love for bathtime.

Hope Christian 10 Year High School Reunion

Wow, its been ten years. It sort of blows me away to think how quickly that time went by. Granted a quite a bit has happened, but still. I was unsure how to feel about this event. Part of me was nervous, excited. and I held a little bit of anxiety about this whole ordeal. I mean what the heck do you expect from something like this. You have to understand, my graduating class was somewhere around 70, not 300. So pretty much everybody knew everyone else to some degree.
As it turns out, it was pretty great. Once everyone got over the akward hellos and what have you been doing etc... it was really fun to catch back up with the people that I haven't seen/and or haven't kept in touch with.
And of course no body seemed to remember me being THAT tall. Whatever :-)

Its raining, its pouring!

Rainy day in Albuquerque. We spent some time at the pool earlier, but Jaxon and I decided to make a Starbucks stop for some comfort food during the storm. Ahhh we love that naked Mermaid!

Lusko Land Sharks

So the Lusko Land Sharks played again. Missing a few key players. We got together for 4th of July Weekend to play in the M88 volleyball tournament. We were undefeated and made it to the championship game. Where in honor of Heidi and Jesse, and not having them for our team we promptly lost. Too bad, maybe next year we will triumph. Here are they money shots...

A Few New Tricks for the Fanclub

So Jaxon does a few mildly monumental new things. First he is embracing his boyhood by growling like a wild lion while attacking anything near him. His bottle, stuffed animals, my knee etc...
Also, he is working on standing with little assistance. All he needs is something to grab onto, and he stands himself up. He grabs hold of the side of his crib, the couch, or my fingers.

Jaxon is pulling himself up these days, staying up on his own is a little trickier, but he is certainly getting there. He hasn't master the art of crawling yet, but if determined enough, he can "army crawl" almost anywhere. Its not the most efficient form of transportation, but it gets where he needs to go. We are in such trouble when he starts walking. Now about that hair...
